IN THE CASE OF: BOARD DATE: 30 September 2008 DOCKET NUMBER: AR20080007967 THE BOARD CONSIDERED THE FOLLOWING EVIDENCE: 1. Application for correction of military records (with supporting documents provided, if any). 2. Military Personnel Records and advisory opinions (if any). THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE: 1. The applicant requests reconsideration of his earlier request to add the Meritorious Unit Commendation (MUC) to his DD Form 214 (Armed Forces of the United States Report of Transfer or Discharge). 2. The applicant states he was informed that he could request reconsideration within a year of his original request. He has located the general orders awarding his unit the MUC. 3. The applicant provides two letters, both dated 11 December 2007, from the Board; page 5 from the original Board consideration of his case; his DD Form 214; and page 1 of Department of the Army General Orders Number 6, dated 19 March 1976. Incorporated herein by reference are military records which were summarized in the previous consideration of the applicant's case by the Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR) in Docket Number AR20070007939 on 6 December 2007. 2. The applicant entered active duty on 4 February 1970 as a second lieutenant. 3. Department of the Army General Orders Number 6, dated 19 March 1976, awarded the MUC to the 525th MI Group for the period 1 January 1971 to 5 March 1973 and to a number of its subordinate units, to include the 519th MI Battalion (for the period 1 January 1971 to 18 October 1972).
