THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE: 1. The applicant requests removal of a Trauma Nursing Core Course certificate, dated 10 December 2010, from his Army Military Human Resource Record (AMHRR) (formerly known as the Official Military Personnel File). 2. The applicant states: a. the certificate was added to his AMHRR by the Battalion S1 staff office. He was notified last week by his branch manager that he needed to have the certificate removed from his AMHRR because no certificate with expiration dates should be present in his permanent record. The certificate expires in December 2012. b. he subsequently requested the certificate be removed from his AMHRR by the Battalion S1 staff, but he was informed he had to apply to this Board to have it removed. c. his AMHRR will be reviewed on 1 April 2014 as his board file is being reviewed for the U.S. Army Nurse Corps Captain Board. 3. The applicant provides: * Trauma Nursing Core Course certificate * Email for AMHRR edit request CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE: 1. The applicant was appointed as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve on 8 May 2010. He was appointed in the Regular Army in the Army Nurse Corps on 6 October 2010. He was promoted to first lieutenant on 6 April 2012. 2. The certificate, dated 10 December 2010, shows he completed the Trauma Nurse Core Course. 3. A review of the applicant's service folder in his AMHRR on the interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System revealed a copy of the certificate in question. 4. Army Regulation 600-8-104 (AMHRR Management) prescribes Army policy for the creation, utilization, administration, maintenance, and disposition of the AMHRR. Appendix B (Documents Authorized for Filing in the AMHRR and/or Interactive Personnel Electronics Records Management System) contains no provision for filing a certificate with an expiration date in a Soldier's AMHRR. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS: 1. The applicant requests the Trauma Nursing Core Course certificate, dated 10 December 2010, be removed from his AMHRR. 2.
