BOARD DATE: 22 March 2016 DOCKET NUMBER: AR20150019048 THE BOARD CONSIDERED THE FOLLOWING EVIDENCE: 1. Application for correction of military records (with supporting documents provided, if any). 2. Military Personnel Records and advisory opinions (if any). THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE: 1. The applicant requests removal of his Officer Record Brief (ORB) from his Army Military Human Resource Record (AMHRR). 2. The applicant states the ORB was a working copy document that was erroneously uploaded by the unit’s administrative clerk. The ORB was meant to be an internal document for update purposes. He requested to have the ORB removed and was routed to this Board. 3. He provides his ORB, dated 5 February 2015. CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE: 1. The applicant enlisted in the Regular Army on 16 October 2006, for the U.S. Army Officer/Warrant Officer Enlistment Program. He is currently serving on active duty as a captain. 2. A copy of his ORB, dated 2 February 2015, is filed in his AMHRR as a stand-alone item. The ORB contains multiple hand written corrections. 3. Army Regulation 600-8-104 (Army Military Human Resource Records Management) prescribes Army policy for the creation, utilization, administration, maintenance, and disposition of the AMHRR. This regulation states that only the most current ORB will be filed as part of a mobilization packet, and only the last ORB produced before separation or a change in component will be filed in the service section of the AMHRR. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS: The governing regulation states that only the most current ORB will be filed as part of a mobilization packet and only the last ORB produced before separation or a change in component will be filed in the service section of the AMHRR. The applicant’s ORB is filed as a stand-alone item and he is still serving on active duty. Therefore, it would be appropriate to remove this document from his AMHRR.
