Pursuant to the provisions of reference (a), Subject, hereinafter referred to as Petitioner, filed enclosure (1) with the Board for Correction of Naval Records (Board), requesting that his naval record be corrected to show Petitioner’s Reserve Active Duty Obligation (RADO) reflect 72 months vice 48 months. 2. The Board, consisting of , and , reviewed Petitioner’s allegations of error and injustice on 29 June 2021 and, pursuant to its regulations, determined that the corrective action indicated below should be taken on the available evidence of record. Documentary material considered by the Board consisted of the enclosures, relevant portions of Petitioner’s naval record, and applicable statutes, regulations and policies. 3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts of record pertaining to Petitioner's allegations of error and injustice, finds as follows: a. Before applying to this Board, Petitioner exhausted all administrative remedies available under existing law and regulations within the Department of the Navy. b. On 19 July 2016, Petitioner enlisted for 8 years in the U.S. Naval Reserve, 6 years of which was in an active drilling status as a Selected Reservist and the remaining 2 years in the non-drilling Individual Ready Reserve (IRR). c. On 5 October 2016, Petitioner signed a NAVCRUIT 1133/52 (Enlistment Guarantees) Annex B for 4 years on active duty and the remaining 4 years in the non-drilling Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) with the following option: “Full Time Support/Information Systems Technician (FTS/IT) Class “A” school”. d. On 21 February 2017, Petitioner entered active duty. e. On 10 June 2020, Petitioner reenlisted for 6 years listing a RADO of 048 months. f. In correspondence attached as enclosure (2), the office having cognizance over the subject matter addressed in Petitioner’s application has commented to the effect that the request has merit and warrants favorable action. CONCLUSION Upon review and consideration of all the evidence of record, and especially in light of the contents of enclosure (2), the Board finds the existence of an injustice warranting the following corrective action. The Board concluded that Petitioner reenlisted on 10 June 2020 as a branch class USNR FTS for 6 years, his RADO months were inadvertently entered as 048 rather than 072. RECOMMENDATION That Petitioner’s naval record be corrected, where appropriate, to show that: The immediate reenlistment contract (NAVPERS 1070/601) executed on 10 June 2020 for a term of 6 years in the Naval Reserve, listed a Reserve Active Duty Obligation (RADO) of “072/000” Months/days vice “048/000” Months/days, A copy of this Report of Proceedings will be filed in Petitioner’s naval record. 4. It is certified that quorum was present at the Board’s review and deliberations, and that the foregoing is a true and complete record of the Board’s proceedings in the above entitled matter. 5.
