In support of his request, the applicant provides a copy of his AF Form 3007. The applicant’s complete submission, with attachment, is at Exhibit A. _________________________________________________________________ STATEMENT OF FACTS: The applicant is currently serving on active duty in the grade of staff sergeant. The DD Form 4/1, Enlistment/Reenlistment Document, dated 13 Sep 95, reflects the applicant was in the delayed entry/ enlistment program of the Air Force Reserve from 27 Apr 95 until he enlisted in the Regular Air Force (RegAF) on 13 Sep 95. He served on active duty until his honorable discharge on 17 Feb 05. On 17 Feb 06, the applicant reenlisted in the RegAF for a period of four years. The remaining relevant facts pertaining to this application are contained in the letter prepared by the appropriate office of the Air Force, which is attached at Exhibit C. _________________________________________________________________ AIR FORCE EVALUATION: AFPC/DPSIPE recommends denial noting AFI 36-2604, Service Dates and Dates of Rank, Table 1, Rule 1 states that the total active Federal military service date (TAFMSD) for enlisted, officer, or warrant officer personnel is calculated based on all periods of active Federal military service in commissioned, warrant, flight officer, or enlisted status. When there is a break in active duty the TAFMSD is adjusted and, as a result, is later than the date of original entry on active duty by a period equal to the break or breaks in service. The applicant enlisted in the RegAF on 13 Sep 95 to 17 Feb 05. He had at this time a total of 9 years, 5 months, and 5 days of time in service. The applicant had a break in service from his separation date of 17 Feb 05 until his reentry into the RegAF on 17 Feb 06. Therefore, his TAFMSD date was adjusted accordingly as a result of his approximately one year break in service, the applicant’s adjusted TAFMSD date is 12 Sep 96. The complete AFPC/DPSIPE evaluation is at Exhibit C. _________________________________________________________________ APPLICANT'S REVIEW OF AIR FORCE EVALUATION: A copy of the Air Force evaluation was forwarded to the applicant on 22 Dec 11 for review and comment within 30 days. The applicant has exhausted all remedies provided by existing law or regulations. 2. The application was timely filed. 3. Insufficient relevant evidence has been presented to demonstrate the existence of an error or an injustice. We took notice of the applicant's complete submission in judging the merits of the case; however, we agree with the opinion and the recommendation of the Air Force office of primary responsibility and adopt its rationale as the basis for our conclusion the applicant has not been the victim of an error or injustice. Therefore, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, we find no basis to recommend granting the relief sought in this application. _________________________________________________________________ THE BOARD DETERMINES THAT: The applicant be notified the evidence presented did not demonstrate the existence of material error or injustice; the application was denied without a personal appearance; and the application will only be reconsidered upon the submission of newly discovered relevant evidence not considered with this application. _________________________________________________________________ The following members of the Board considered AFBCMR Docket Number BC-2011-03110 in Executive Session on 22 Mar 12, under the provisions of AFI 36-2603: The following documentary evidence was considered: Exhibit A.
