The evidence of record confirms the applicant departed Fort Bragg for Afghanistan on 9 August 2009 and a DFAS record confirms the applicant began receiving IDP/HFP for Afghanistan on 11 August 2009. The DFAS record also shows the applicant’s last day of authorization for IDP/HFP for Afghanistan was 23 August 2010. 3. While the dates provided by the applicant, 10 August 2009 through 31 August 2010, cannot be confirmed, the evidence of record does confirm the applicant served in Afghanistan from 11 August 2009 through 23 August 2010, as evidenced by the DFAS record.
