Army Regulation 635-8 (Separation Processing and Documents) prescribes policy and procedural guidance relating to transition management. Chapter 5 provides that the DD Form 214 is a summary of the Soldier's most recent period of continuous active duty. It provides a brief, clear-cut record of all current active, prior active, and prior inactive duty service at the time of release from active duty, retirement, or discharge. Chapter 5 further provides detailed instructions for data required in each block of the DD Form 214. The instructions for item 11 state to enter the titles of all MOSs awarded and held for at least 1 year during the current period of service and include the number of years and months held for each MOS. For time determinations, 16 or more days count as a month. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS: 1. Army Regulation 635-8 states to enter the titles of all MOSs awarded and held for at least 1 year during the current period of service and include the number of years and months held for each MOS in item 11 of the DD Form 214. 2. The evidence shows: * the applicant was ordered to active duty from 13 June 2013 to 20 June 2014 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom * he held MOS 92A4O and served in this MOS during this period * the only MOS shown in item 11 of his DD Form 214 for the period ending 20 June 2014 is 92S4O 3. It would be appropriate to correct item 11 of his DD Form 214 for the period ending 20 June 2014 to show MOS 92A4O.
