BOARD DETERMINATION/RECOMMENDATION:

2.  The Board determined the evidence presented was sufficient to warrant amendment of the decision of the Army Board for Correction of Military Records set forth in Docket Number AR20160004933, dated 7 June 2016, to show he submitted a DA Form 4187 (Personnel Action) on 29 September 2014, committing to a 3-year agreement to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve, and this form was accepted by the Department of the Army, entitling him to payment of full separation pay.

THE BOARD CONSIDERED THE FOLLOWING EVIDENCE:

CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE:

29.  On 13 July 2016 new information was received from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service regarding the decision of the Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR) in Docket Number AR20160004933, dated 7 June 2016.

30.  The evidence submitted consists of an email, dated 13 July 2016, wherein the Defense Finance and Accounting Service indicated a records correction was required in order to execute the Board's decision.

ADDITIONAL DISCUSSION:

6.  At the time of the decision of the ABCMR in Docket Number AR20160004933, dated 7 June 2016, it was the intent of the ABCMR to make the applicant’s record as administratively correct as it should properly have been at the time.

7.  The ABCMR's decision in Docket Number AR20160004933 failed to show a records correction.

8.  Records show he submitted a signed a DA Form 4187 (Personnel Action), committing to a 3-year agreement to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve.  This form was accepted by the Department of the Army, entitling him to payment of full separation pay.
