Military Personnel Records and advisory opinions (if any). THE APPLICANT'S REQUEST, STATEMENT, AND EVIDENCE: 1. The applicant requests assignment incentive pay (AIP) for Korea for April, May, June, and July 2016. 2. The applicant states he was authorized AIP in June 2013. However, he stopped receiving AIP after March 2016, though he stayed in Korea until 2 July 2016. 3. The applicant provides: * All Army Activities (ALARACT) message 121/2013 * U.S. Army Stuttgart Orders 352-01, dated 17 December 2012 * Installation Management Command (IMCOM) - Pacific Region, Military Personnel Division Orders 095-3404, dated 4 April 2016 * Leave and Earnings Statements (LESs) for the period 1-31 March 2016 CONSIDERATION OF EVIDENCE: 1. The applicant, a former enlisted Soldier serving as a Regular Army first lieutenant, was transferred from Germany to Korea in December 2012. He was authorized a delay in route to Korea to attend the Quartermaster Basic School. His arrival date in Korea was mid-June 2013. 2. The applicant requested a change in his tour length in order to qualify for category 3 AIP. That application was approved by the Human Resources Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky on 9 June 2013, and the applicant's date of estimated return from overseas was changed to 16 June 2016. 3. In the processing of this case, an advisory opinion was obtained from the Chief, Compensations and Entitlements, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff G-1. This opinion states after a careful review of the case and in accordance with ALARACT message 121/2013, the applicant qualified for AIP for Korea through June 2016. His AIP was stopped after March 2016. He is still entitled to receive AIP for Korea for April, May, and June 2016. 4. The advisory opinion was sent to the applicant for his information and an opportunity to respond. He did not respond. DISCUSSION: 1. The applicant requests AIP for Korea for April, May, and June 2016 and for a prorated portion of July 2016. 2. He is only authorized AIP for April, May, and June 2016.
