The applicant did not file within the three year time frame provided in Title 10, United States Code (USC), section 1552 (b); however, the Army Board for Correction of Military Records conducted a substantive review of this case and determined it is in the interest of justice to excuse the applicant's failure to timely file. 2. The applicant states she does not recall the exact dates but deployed to Grenada in December 1983, while assigned to the 118th Military Police Company, Fort Bragg, NC for a period of 10 days. 3. The applicant enlisted in the Regular Army on 5 August 1980. 4. The applicant's DA Form 2-1 (Personnel Qualification Record – Part II) shows she was assigned to the 118th Military Police Company, Fort Bragg, NC from on or about 31 January 1981 through on or about 4 April 1984. 5. The applicant was honorably released from active duty on 19 December 1984. Item 12f (Record of Service - Foreign Service) of her DD Form 214 contains the entry "00 00 00." 1. 6. The applicant provides two letters of support, one from her company commander at the time, both confirming her deployment to Grenada in December 1983 as the supply sergeant. Based upon the documents provided by the applicant and within the military service record, the Board concluded there was insufficient evidence to show the specific dates of the deployment of the applicant, so the correction requested cannot be corrected now; however, if she can provide additional data reflecting the specific dates of deployment, the applicant is encouraged to apply for reconsideration.
