EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The applicant was discharged for Homosexual Admission in the Spring of 2007. The applicant made a 
statement about their sexual orientation which prompted the Honorable discharge. Upon review of the 
applicant's record, all items show satisfactory service with no record of any disciplinary or performance issues. 
The applicant was discharged based solely upon the admission and there were no aggravating factors in the 
service record.
The Board members thoroughly reviewed the applicant's record of service, and unanimously recommends that 
the applicant be issued a DD-215 with "JFF" as the SPD Code, "Secretarial Authority" as the Narrative Reason 
for Separation, "12.B.12" as the Authority, and "REI" as the Reentry Code.
Propriety:	Discharge was proper.
Equity:	Discharge is not equitable based upon the post-policy/legislative change.
Final Adjudication by Assistant Commandant For Human Resources: Concur with Board. Aforesaid 
relief is granted.
