The applicant began an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate at a smaller unit of less than 65 personnel. After being awarded Non-Judicial Punishment (NJP) in 201 1, the applicant was specifically ordered to stop all contact with the co-worker outside of the workplace. Just months later, the applicant continued pursuing the same prohibited relationship on social media. Thus, this resulted in another NJP proceeding for the same offense. Due to this being 2 NJP's within 24 months, the command began processing the applicant for Discharge for a Pattern of Misconduct. The Board finds no issues with propriety or equity in this case. The applicant received an Honorable Discharge based on the entirety of his otherwise acceptable 4 years and 9 months of service. Propriety: Discharge was proper. Equity: Discharge was equitable. Final Adjudication by Assistant Commandant For Human Resources: No relief.
