The applicant was found guilty of domestic violence on his spouse, an assault on a civilian, absent without leave, and disobeying orders that led to the Discharge. The applicant was afforded an administrative Separation Board that upheld the recommendation made by the Command for a General Discharge, Under Honorable conditions for character of service. The Board does note the GKQ separation code should have been issued vice the GK.A code. Additionally, the Narrative reason aligned with the GKQ is Misconduct. Please see the following 4 pages for the notification of discharge, findings of fact, Administrative Board ruling and the official explanation for GKQ separation code. The Board members thoroughly reviewed the applicant's record of service and all available documentation4. The Board deemed that the Applicant's Character of Service and Re-entry code are appropriate and should not be changed. The applicant has not substantiated any error or inequity.5 Propriety: Discharge was proper. Equity: Discharge was equitable. Final Adjudication By Assistant Commandant for Human Resources: Concur with Board. The Applicant's Separation Code has recently been amended via admin correction to GKQ. Aside from this change, no relief.
