Along with the Non-Judicial Punishment (Article 15 of the UCMJ) received in April 2012, she received two Alcohol Incidents: the first one in September 2012 and the second in December 2014. She also received counseling on multiple occasions for financial irresponsibility, poor judgment and for failing to report to her unit after liberty expired. The Board finds no issues with propriety or equity in this case. The Applicant was notified of the intent to discharge, and the applicant was advised of the right to an attorney. She did not submit a statement and did not object to the discharge. The Board noticed the Applicant was issued a General Discharge in Block 24 of the DD-214. The Board recommends an administrative change to Under Honorable Conditions as General is not a valid character of service per ALCOAST 562/08. Propriety: Discharge was proper. Equity: Discharge was equitable. Board Conclusion: The Board voted 5-0 to recommend no relief. The Board does recommend an administrative correction to Under Honorable Conditions per ALCOAST 562/08.
