EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Applicant was discharged in August 2015 for Misconduct due to Commission of a Serious Offense. 
In February 2015, he was investigated by the Alaska State Troopers and Conservation Law Enforcement
Officer from Joint Base Elemendorf-Richardson (JBER) in Anchorage, AK because he was suspected of killing
a moose on JBER. As a result of that investigation, the State of Alaska filed charges against the Applicant.

In July 2015, he pleaded guilty of unlawful possession and transportation of game. His sentence included a
$5000 fine with $2500 suspended and 10 days of custody with the Commissioner of Corrections which was 
also suspended.

The Board finds no issues with propriety or equity in this case.

The Applicant was notified of the intent to discharge, and was advised of the right to an attorney. He waived his 
right to an administrative separation board on the condition that his service was characterized as Honorable.
The Applicant did submit a statement on his behalf.
