While the applicant was A-school, they received an alcohol incident when alcohol was a significant/causative factor when they damaged military property and communicated threats of shooting up schools, the base and wanting to kill people with a firearm. The applicant was disenrolled from A-school with a fault disenrollment. The applicant specifically petitioned the board to upgrade their reentry code from a RE4 to a RE2C. The Board noted a Reentry Code RE2C only applies to retirement eligible personnel. The Board finds no issues with propriety or equity in this case. The applicant was notified of the intent to discharge, and the applicant was advised of the right to an attorney. The applicant did submit a statement and did object to the discharge. RECOMMENDATION: The Board members thoroughly reviewed the applicant’s record of service and all available documentation. The Board deemed that the applicant’s character of service, reason for separation and reenlistment code are appropriate and should not be changed. The applicant has not substantiated any error or inequity. 2 In reviewing discharges, the Board presumes regularity in the conduct of governmental affairs unless there is substantial credible evidence (to include evidence submitted by the Applicant) to rebut the presumption.
