1.  Pursuant  to the provisions of reference  (a)  Subject,  hereinafter referred to as Petitioner, filed enclosur e (1) with this Board requesting, in effect, that the applicable naval record be corrected to establish entitlement to a zone "A'' Selective Reenlistment Bonus (SRB) • 
2 . The Board, reviewe e 1 1oner s a. ega ions o error an injustice on 17 December 2015 and, pursuant to i t s regulations, determined t hat the corrective action indicated below should be t aken on the available evidence of record. Documentary material considered by the .Board consisted of the enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations and policies. 
3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts of record pertaining to Petitioner's allegations of error and injustice; finds as follows: 
a. Before applying to this Board, Petitioner exhausted all administrative remedies available under existing law and regulations within the Department of the Navy. 
b . In correspondence attached a s enclosure (2), the office having cognizance over the subject matter addr essed in Petiti·oner' s application has commented to the effect that the request has merit and warrants favorable action. 
CONCLUSION 

Upon review and consideration of .all the evidence of record, and especially in light of .the contents of enclosure (2), the Board finds t he existence of an injustice warranting the following corrective -action. 

RECOMMENDATION: 
That Petitioner's naval record be corrected, where appropriate, to 
show that: 

a. SRB request was submitted and received by cognizant authority via OPINS/NSIPS 35 days in advance of the Petitioner' s requested reenlistment date; it was approved. · .Note: the Petitioner was discharged on 25 May 2015 and reenlisted on 26 May 2015~ The term is 4 years. 
b. This change will entitle the Petitioner to a zone "A" SRB with an award level of 1 . 5 {30,000 dollar award ceiling) for the rate. Remaining obligated service to 1 August 2015 will be ~ted from SRB computation. . 
c. A copy of this Report of Proceedings will be filed in 
Petitioner's naval record.

5, Pursuant to the delegation of authority set out in Section 6(e) of the revised Procedures of the Board for Correction of Naval Records
