This is in reference to your application for correction of your .naval record pursuant to .the provisions of 10 USC 1552 . In your application, you request a change to Box 13b of your DD Form 214 because you believe. it references a separation code (NAVPERS 256N) that was used to identify homosexuals. A review of your record shows that you were diagnosed with an immat ure personality on 12 September 1967 by the U.S. Naval Air Station, 
Medical Officer. This resulted ·in your honorable di·scharge fr.om t he Navy for unsuitability on 18 October 1967. Since you we·re .discharged with an Honorable characterization of service and were issued a DD Form 256N (Honorable Discharge Certificate) , this fact was annotated in Box 13b of your DD Form 214 as "NAVPERS 256N."  The annotation "NAVPERS 256N" is not a military separation code and is not used to record a service member's sexual orientation. Since your case does not require Board action, we are administratively closing your application.
