Pursuant to the provisions ofreference (a), Petitioner, an enlisted member ofthe Marine Corps, filed enclosure (1) the Petitioner requested to remove an Administrative Remarks (6105) dated 5 October 2015 and replace with an Administrative Remarks ( 6105) dated 5 October 2015 to his Official Military Personnel File (OMPF). 2. The Board, consisting of reviewed Petitioner's allegations oferror and injustice on 28 February 2017, and pursuant to its regulations, determined that the corrective action indicated below should be taken on the available evidence ofrecord. Documentary material considered by the Board consisted ofthe enclosures, naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations, and policies . 3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts ofrecord pertaining to Petitioner's <1;llegations of error and injustice finds as follows: a. Before applying to this Board, Petitioner exhausted all administrative remedies available under existing law and regulations within the Department ofthe Navy. b. Enclosure (1) was filed in a timely manner. c. Petitioner received an Administrative Remarks (6105) dated 5 October 2015 with an erroneous EDIPI per enclosure (3). d. HQMC provided a favorable advisory opinion in response to the ·Petitioner's claim per enclosure (4). The advisory opinion concluded that the Administrative Remarks (6105) uploaded to the Petitioner's OMPF is erroneous since it had the incorrect EDlPI number. CONCLUSION: Upon review and consideration of all the evidence ofrecord, the Board concluded that Petitioner's request warrants relief in the form of removing the Administrative Remarks (6105) with the erroneous EDIPI number per enclosure (3). A new Administrative Remarks (6105) entry with the correct EDIPI number should be placed in the Petitioner's OMPF. In this regard, the Board found the advisory opinion furnished by Headquarters United States Marine Corps as a credible source for approval of Petitioner's claim. In view ofthe above, the Board directs the following corrective action. RECOMMENDATION: a. That Petitioner's naval record be corrected by removing Administrative Remarks (610~) dated 5 October 2015 with EDIPI numb , from Petitioner's OMPF. b. That Petitioner's naval record be corrected Administrative Remarks (6105) dated 5 October 2015 with EDIPI num to Petitioner's OMPF. c. That any material or entries inconsistent with or relating to the Board's recommendation be corrected from Petitioner's record and that no such entries or material be added to the record in the future. 4. It is certified that a quorum was present at the Board's review and deliberations, and that the foregoing is a true and complete record of the Board's proceedings in the above entitled matter. 5. Pursuant to the delegation of authority set out in Section 6( e) ofthe revised Procedures of the Board for Correction ofNaval Records (32 Code ofFederal Regulation, Section 723.6(e)) and having assured compliance with its provisions, it is hereby announced that the foregoing corrective action, taken under the authority of reference (a), has been approved by the Board on behalf ofthe Secretary ofthe Navy.
