Although your application was not filed in a timely manner, the Board found it in the interest of justice to waive the statute oflimitations and consider your case on its merits. Your allegations oferror and injustice were reviewed in accordance with administrative regulations and procedures applicable to the proceedings ofthis Board. Documentary material considered by the Board consisted ofyour application, together with all material submitted in support thereof, relevant portions ofyour naval record and applicable statutes, regulations and policies. A review ofyour record shows that you entered active duty with the Navy in July 1974. On 11 August 1977, you were diagnosed with situational maladjustment, reaction to adult life, severe based on depression symptoms you reported after your pregnancy was terminated. You were later seen in June 1978 after complaining ofcareer frustrations but did not receive any mental health treatment. Eventually you were discharged on 4 December 1978 due to pregnancy. You reenlisted in the Navy Reserve in April 1979 and served out your commitment until your discharge in April 1981. In July 2016, the Department ofVeterans Affairs (VA) issued you a disability rating for service connected major depressive disorder. Y
