Pursuant to the provisions ofreference (a), Petitioner, an filed enclosure (1) with this Board requesting the removal of a Unit Punishment Book (UPB) entry from her Official Military Personnel File (OMPF). 2. The Board, consisting of reviewed Petitioner's allegations oferror and injustice on 6 December 2017 and, pursuant to its regulations, determined that the corrective action indicated below should be taken on the available evidence ofrecord. Documentary material considered by the Board consisted ofthe enclosures, relevant portions ofPetitioner's naval records, and applicable statutes, regulations, and policies. Enclosures (1) through ( 4) apply. 3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts ofrecord pertaining to Petitioner's allegations of error and injustice finds as follows: a. Before applying to this Board, Petitioner exhausted all administrative remedies available under existing law and regulations within the Department ofthe Navy. b. On Petitioner received nonjudicial punishment (NJP) for absent without leave. See enclosure (2). c. Petitioner contends that the UPB is unjust because she was sick in quarters. d. On quarters from to Petitioner received an Individual Sick Slip granting her 24 hours sick in See enclosure (3). e. Enclosure (4) states in part, that the Petitioner was treated at the on and it was recommended that she receive no work from to . CONCLUSION Upon review and consideration ofall the evidence ofrecord, and in light ofenclosures (3) and (4) the Board finds the existence ofan injustice warranting the following corrective action. The Board finds that, the Petitioner has provided substantial evidence demonstrating the existence of an injustice warranting the removal ofenclosure (2) from the Petitioner's OMPF. RECOMMENDATION Petitioner's naval record be corrected by removing the UPB from the Petitioner's OMPF. 4. It is certified that a quorum was present at the Board's review and deliberations, and that the foregoing is a true and complete record ofthe Board's proceedings in the above entitled matter. 5.
