Pursuant to the provisions ofreference (a) Subject, hereinafter referred to as Petitioner, filed enclosure (1) with this Board requesting, in effect, that the applicable naval record be corrected to the effective date ofhis retirement orders. 2. The Board, consisting of reviewed Petitioner's allegations oferror and injustice on 22 March 2018 and, pursuant to its regulations, determined that the corrective action indicated below should be taken on the available evidence ofrecord. Documentary fuaterial considered by the Board consisted ofyour application, together with all material submitted in support thereof, relevant portions ofyour naval record and applicable statutes, regulations and policies. 3. The Board, having reviewed all the facts ofrecord pertaining to Petitioner's allegations of error and injustice, finds as follows: Before applying to this Board, Petitioner exhausted all administrative remedies available under existing law and regulations within the Department of the Navy. CONCLUSION Upon review and consideration of all the evidence ofrecord, the Board agrees with the Petitioner that under his circumstances, the Petitioner should be reimbursed for his personally procured move (PPM) since he would have been entitled to one normally. The Board finds the existence ofan injustice warranting the following corrective action. RECOMMENDATION That Petitioner's naval record be corrected, where appropriate, to show that: The Petitiom;r submitted his request to be transferred to the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve and it was approved by cognizant authority on 30 January 2017. Subj: REVIEW OF NAVAL RECORD ICO . The Petitioner's Release from Active Duty and Transfer to the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve Orders were issued on " January " vice " November ". Note: the effective date of transfer did not change. The Petitioner is advised to resubmit his personally procured move (PPM) claim and a copy of this Board for Correction ofNaval Records (BCNR) decision letter to the nearest Traffic Management office for re-adjudication. Note: settlement ofclaim is chargeable to the line of accounting on the Petitioner's orders. A copy of this Report ofProceedings will be filed in Petitioner's naval record. 5.
