Purpose(s):
Records provided on this website are redacted decisional documents from October
1989 for each of the Boards listed provided in accordance with Department of Defense
Directive 1332.41. The decisional documents are a record of the respective Boards
proceedings and decisions on applications submitted to them contending error or
injustice in military or naval records. All Personally Identifiable Information (PII) has
been redacted from these decisional documents.
Disclosure:
In addition to those disclosures generally permitted under 5 U.S.C. 552a(b) of the
Privacy Act of 1974, these records contained therein may specifically be disclosed
outside the DoD as a routine use pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552a(b)(3) as follows:
To the Department of Justice when cases are litigated. The DoD "Blanket Routine
Uses" set forth at the beginning of the Army's compilation of systems of records notices
also apply to this system.

We maintain a variety of physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect
your personal information. For site security purposes and to ensure that this service
remains available to all users, this government computer system employs software
programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or
change information, or otherwise cause damage.
Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made
to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no
other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction in accordance with
National Archives and Records Administration guidelines.
Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service
are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse
Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.
